Welcome to MARBLE!

Hi, everyone!

I'm Shoko Miyata.

I have been involved in various types of Japanese language education to various types of learners, from elementary school students to graduate students and business people, in Japan and abroad for many years.

I had a chance to look back on my life as a Japanese language teacher, and I realized once again that the driving force for me is to see the progress of each student in front of me, to see them happy to be able to do what they could not do before.

(I'm sure many Japanese teachers feel the same way.)

I am grateful that I have been able to continue this kind of work for so many years, and I have come to realize that I would like to be of some use to local children in the next stage of my life. Around 2018, while teaching Japanese at a university, I started teaching Japanese in the community with a group of friends who share my passion.

The year 2020 has been an eventful one for me.

Due to the new coronavirus, all of my university teachings went online, and I spent a lot of time implementing new teaching formats and learning the skills to run them effectively.

I also had to take a break from teaching Japanese to children.

But a pinch is an opportunity.

Because of this, I will be able to teach MARBLE Japanese online in the future.

If you join MARBLE and learn Japanese with us, I am sure you too can improve greatly, and nothing would be more gratifying than seeing your improvement.
